Dominic Purcell and Wentworth Miller, famous for their roles as brothers in the acclaimed TV series "Prison Break," are teaming up once again. Nearly two decades after the show's debut, the duo will star in the upcoming action series "Snatchback," as reported by Variety and confirmed by Purcell on Instagram.
"Snatchback" is set to explore the intense world of hostage recovery. Written and executive produced by Scott Rosenbaum, the series draws inspiration from the experiences of a currently active covert intelligence officer. The show promises to deliver high-stakes drama set against the backdrop of some of the world's most perilous and picturesque locations.
In addition to his on-screen role, Purcell will serve as an executive producer alongside his wife, Tish Cyrus, and Dannah Axelrod Summers of HopeTown Entertainment.
"Prison Break" originally aired on Fox from 2005 to 2009, spanning four seasons and a TV film, "The Final Break." The series briefly returned for a fifth season in 2017. Despite rumors of a sixth season, Fox has confirmed there are no current plans to continue the franchise.
Purcell and Miller have previously reunited professionally in guest roles on "The Flash" and "Legends of Tomorrow." Their latest project, "Snatchback," marks another significant collaboration for the pair, as they delve into new characters and thrilling narratives.
Tish Cyrus, discussing her marriage to Purcell, expressed excitement about their professional partnership, emphasizing the personal empowerment and support she has received from Purcell.
